Protesting farmers' commotion, internet service suspended till 12:00 pm
New Delhi: After the violent incident at the Kisan Tractor Rally in the national capital Delhi, internet access was temporarily stopped at Singhu Border, Tikari Border, Ghazipur Border, Mubaraka Chowk and Nangloi. The Union Home Ministry has issued this message. As of order, internet service will be closed till 12 o'clock tonight.
Let me tell you that off the road shown for the tractor parade, a group of protesting farmers entered the Red Fort and placed flags on some domes of this historic monument in the national capital.
A herd of protesting farmers, driven from the ITO by the police administration, reached the Red Fort complex with their tractors. These protesters entered the Red Fort complex and were seen putting their flag on the flag-column where the Prime Minister hoists the national flag on 15 August.
They also put their flags on many domes of the Red Fort. Earlier the protesting farmers had reached ITO, and tried to move towards Lutyens area. Police personnel had to drop lathicharge and tear gas bullets on this.
The protesters started moving inside Delhi from the outskirts of Delhi long before the scheduled time for the tractor parade and they all reached the ITO in central Delhi, despite not getting the order.
The Delhi Police administration had allowed the tractor parade to the farmers with the condition that they would perform their parade on the paths decided after the postponement of the Republic Day parade at Rajpath. Whereas today, the farmers stuck to the move towards Central Delhi, which created an atmosphere of chaos.
